For over 20 years, Renzo Baldaccini has been passionately dedicated to the production of olive oil in the Lucca region. As President of the DOP Consortium of Lucca, professional taster and sommelier of the Italian Sommelier Association AIS, Baldaccini consistently focusses on quality and sustainability. His Azienda Agricola, located in the picturesque hills of Morianese, is known for its high-quality fruit and vegetable cultivation. Producing a DOP olive oil means not only guaranteeing the highest quality, but also always being at the cutting edge of technology and regulations. From the natural fertilisation of the soil without pesticides, to the immediate pressing of the olives on the day of harvest, to the storage of the oil under nitrogen - every step of the production process is carefully monitored. This dedication has not only earned him the "5 drops", the highest honour of the AIS Bibenda, for 20 years, but also the recognition of famous personalities such as Jacques Chirac and the Emir of Abu Dhabi.

Tasting notes
Fragrant on the nose with intense vegetal notes of mown grass, marjoram, radish, green olives and fresh almonds.

Harmonious on the palate, the vegetal notes return, followed by lingering notes of chilli pepper and delicious bitterness.

Renzo Baldaccini’s Lucca DOP extra virgin olive oil was awarded the prestigious "Cinque Gocce" (Five Drops) award in the AIS Bibenda 2025. It is the highest recognition awarded by the guide to the best Italian extra virgin olive oils. AIS Bibenda, the guide of the Italian Sommelier Foundation AIS, has been the authoritative reference point for the entire world of wine, olive oil and grappa for over 20 years.

The award ceremony will take place at the 44th Forum on the Culture of Oil and Wine on Saturday 22 March 2025 at the Rome Cavalieri Waldorf Astoria in Rome.
The event will be attended by the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella.

100% Malbec cultivated on sandy loam, with full malolactic fermentation. Aged in 25% French and 75% American oak for six months. Deep red-violet colour and a beautiful viscosity in the glass. Aromas of blackberry, plums and a touch of raspberry combined with vanilla notes from the oak. Opulent and round with soft, balanced tannins and a smooth, lingering finish. Liebich The Potters Merlot 2012
A warm summer resulted in fruit of great elegance, while still retaining great depth and intensity. Pungent mulberry and cherry aromas in perfect harmony with the wood, followed by intense blackcurrant flavours on the palate, allow this sensuous wine to be enjoyed now, but 2–3 years bottle age would be recommended before opening, will cellar for at least fifteen years.

Liebich The Darkie Shiraz 2012
This unfiltered wine exhibits the deep, dark, silky, rich, full, plummy style for which the area is famous. The pomegranate crispness in the colour and fruit flavours is indicative of the excellent growing season, with the depth of flavour attributed to the low one and a half tonnes per acre yield, brought about by the 32 year old vines suffering from “dead arm” affliction. A combination of new and American and French oak balances the delightful fruit to perfection. Although able to be savoured early, the wine will reward 15 years and more in the bottle. Sliding Hill Pinot Noir 2021 (Marlborough, New Zealand)
The wine is a dark black-purple in colour, denser than all but the finest vintage pinot noir. Aromatically complex and lifted, the fine hazelnut aromas of oak and lees grace the intense violet and creamed black-fruit characters. The silky, classic Pinot Noir palate is driven by warm ripe black-cherry and doris-plum flavours, hints of cola nut and intense mushroom. An almost atypical Pinot tannin structure is the result of a fantastic vintage and reflects the potential of the Marlborough site. The weight, length and intensity of the wine promise a cellaring potential of at least seven years from vintage.

This medium red coloured wine exudes aromas of dry spice, leather, and earthy mineral aromas. On the palate the wine has a good helping of soft redcurrant flavours balanced by smooth tannins and spicy oak at the finish. Serve with stir fried chicken and beef dishes.

Blind Corner 2021 Rouge (Shiraz Blend) . Western Australia
Shiraz 75%, Cabernet 20% & 5% Merlot. All reds foot-crushed, hand-plunged and basket pressed to old oak. Blend the lingering spice of Shiraz and the rich upfront flavour and lingering aftertaste of Cabernet, with the silky soft consistency of Merlot, and you have a Rouge of super delicious deliciousness. This blend has been simply foot-crushed, hand-plunged during wild ferment and basket pressed to old oak for some sleepy time.

Hundred Tree Hill 2021 Shiraz . Pyrenees, Victoria
Black as tar in colour, with a ring of Ox blood around the glass. Beef stock, treacle, iron filings, sweaty leather, raw, hung meat, fresh coffee, bush fires, cedar, cigarbox, peppercorns, cooking chocolate, mushroom, blackberries, beetroot, stewed plums, mixed peel and Chinese five spice are all suggested by the intoxicating fumes rising from a very large glass of this wine. The wine swirls onto the palate, creamy, viscous and rich, then explodes mid-palate with freshly crushed raspberry juice, blackberry, juniper and plum. This leads on to gamey, meaty characters and further complexity, followed by the familiar savoury, spicy characters of new American oak. The finish is well structured with fine tannin and the flavours linger long after the wine is finished. Great with rare beef, kangaroo, game meats, hard cheeses or just on its own.

Liebichwein 2012 The Darkie Shiraz . Barossa Valley
This beautiful old vine Shiraz has been consistently produced as an elegant wine, tight in its youth, a wine that is made to age. Brooding and alluring with kirsch lavender, vanilla, plums, blackberries and wild flowers. Silky tannins on entry, with a vast array of red and blue fruits. Tight, assertive, with plenty of room for bottle development.

With Oak Gin, we married our brewing and distilling skills leading to our oak beer barrels meeting our distillery's gin production. The result is a rich oak spice gin with notes of caramel, vanilla, and a touch of fudge. Warming, at 42% ABV, with a long, rich finish. Oak gin delivers a warm finish as lovely as a sipping gin/whisky; rich oak spice and brown honey toast finishing on sweet caramel, vanilla and sugarcane. Enticing pale straw in colour, the sweet and creamy bouquet is fragrant with honey, herbs and citrus with notes of toasty vanilla. This medium red coloured wine exudes aromas of dry spice, leather, and earthy mineral aromas. On the palate the wine has a good helping of soft redcurrant flavours balanced by smooth tannins and spicy oak at the finish. Serve with stir fried chicken and beef dishes.

100% Malbec cultivated on sandy loam, with full malolactic fermentation. Aged in 25% French and 75% American oak for six months. Deep red-violet colour and a beautiful viscosity in the glass. Aromas of blackberry, plums and a touch of raspberry combined with vanilla notes from the oak. Opulent and round with soft, balanced tannins and a smooth, lingering finish. Excellent paired with red meat, game, tomato-based pasta sauces and full-flavoured cheeses.

Sauvignon Blanc & Chenin Blanc, blended in a rolling wild ferment. All skins are left in through the process to add tannin tang and a wonderful mouth texture. The result is a cloudy, yellow / orange-coloured wine that tastes like rainbows and textured like sun. We blend this bit with 3x neutral wild ferment vessel action and add a teeny dash - like teeny - of some estate grown Cabernet to bring it home and makes your eyes understand what your tongue is trying to tell you.

Shiraz 75%, Cabernet 20% & 5% Merlot. All reds foot-crushed, hand-plunged and basket pressed to old oak. Blend the lingering spice of Shiraz and the rich upfront flavour and lingering aftertaste of Cabernet, with the silky soft consistency of Merlot, and you have a Rouge of super delicious deliciousness. This blend has been simply foot-crushed, hand-plunged during wild ferment and basket pressed to old oak for some sleepy time.

In its youth the wine is moderate straw in colour with green tints. Aromas are reserved and quite exotic with hints of lime, peach, honeysuckle, passionfruit and gooseberry. Ripe flavours of sweet gala apples, lime and rich tropical fruits predominate in a lush textured style with a long dry grainy finish. The wine will drink superbly when young. To be consumed wherever there is sun, surf or seafood.

Black as tar in colour, with a ring of Ox blood around the glass. Beef stock, treacle, iron filings, sweaty leather, raw, hung meat, fresh coffee, bush fires, cedar, cigarbox, peppercorns, cooking chocolate, mushroom, blackberries, beetroot, stewed plums, mixed peel and Chinese five spice are all suggested by the intoxicating fumes rising from a very large glass of this wine. The wine swirls onto the palate, creamy, viscous and rich, then explodes mid-palate with freshly crushed raspberry juice, blackberry, juniper and plum. This leads on to gamey, meaty characters and further complexity, followed by the familiar savoury, spicy characters of new American oak. The finish is well structured with fine tannin and the flavours linger long after the wine is finished. Great with rare beef, kangaroo, game meats, hard cheeses or just on its own.

The wine is a dark black-purple in colour, denser than all but the finest vintage pinot noir. Aromatically complex and lifted, the fine hazelnut aromas of oak and lees grace the intense violet and creamed black-fruit characters. The silky, classic Pinot Noir palate is driven by warm ripe black-cherry and doris-plum flavours, hints of cola nut and intense mushroom. An almost atypical Pinot tannin structure is the result of a fantastic vintage and reflects the potential of the Marlborough site. The weight, length and intensity of the wine promise a cellaring potential of at least seven years from vintage.

Sourced exclusively from our Gippsland vineyard, this sophisticated and multidimensional wine shows good rich fruit characters of apple and melon, highlighted by a malolactic ferment and 12 months ageing in new and one year old French oak barriques. Tight, flinty with cedary spicy and savoury highlights and an excellent purity. Cool climate acid results in a beautifully textured, creamy, nutty, balanced character. Fruit richness is carried through on the palate to produce a wonderful finish. It is anticipated the wine will improve for 3 to 5 years in the bottle to reach maximum potential and then age gracefully under the Stelvin cap. Drink with creamy seafood dishes.

A warm summer resulted in fruit of great elegance, while still retaining great depth and intensity. Pungent mulberry and cherry aromas in perfect harmony with the wood, followed by intense blackcurrant flavours on the palate, allow this sensuous wine to be enjoyed now, but 2–3 years bottle age would be recommended before opening, will cellar for at least fifteen years.

This unfiltered wine exhibits the deep, dark, silky, rich, full, plummy style for which the area is famous. The pomegranate crispness in the colour and fruit flavours is indicative of the excellent growing season, with the depth of flavour attributed to the low one and a half tonnes per acre yield, brought about by the 32 year old vines suffering from “dead arm” affliction. A combination of new and American and French oak balances the delightful fruit to perfection. Although able to be savoured early, the wine will reward 12 years and more in the bottle. The most valuable wine of Scarpa, a symbol of the company. It is named after the entire side of the hill “La Bogliona” as it faces the village of Castel Boglione. 1974 is the first vintage but the vineyard was re-planted in 1988. The abundance of sand in the soil rich and magnesium is the reason of its elegance and saltiness. Deep and long notes of plum, cherry, mature red fruits. Harvested the second / third week of September.
